Celebrations

•  Independence Day - Independence Day brought about a strong sense of patriotism. The children and teachers, dressed in the tri-colors, unfurled the national flag and sang patriotic songs.

•  Janmashtami - In August, Janmashtami was celebrated at school. The children came dressed as Radha and Krishna and added color to the celebration. They sang bhajans and enjoyed breaking the 'matki'.

•  Dussehra - The story of Ramayana was an integral part of our quarter's curriculum and it enthralled our children. Effigies of Ravana, Kumbhkaran and Meghnad were put up in the garden for the children to see and relate to. On the day of celebration, children came dressed up as various characters from the Ramayana and our little Rams, Lakshmans, Hanumaans and Sitas enjoyed 'pushing' the effigies to the ground.

•  Diwali - The festival of lights was celebrated traditionally. The celebration started with 'rangoli' making with flowers followed by Lakshmi pooja and aarti. The children carried home clay diyas made by them.
