The duration of the course is 6 months and the minimum eligibility required is 10 + 2 or GSC “O” level. This course is suitable for ladies wishing to work with or teach children in the age group of 2 to 6 years. With this Diploma a teacher can work at the Pre-school/Nursery/Kindergarten levels.This initiative to introduce the Montessori Method through this Training Institute to this region was taken by Mrs. Sanjit Kaur, who has also done her training from MMI, Gurgaon. “ Our mission is to introduce and popularize the unique and effective Montessori Methodology in and around Chandigarh. There is a great demand for Montessori teachers in schools of all categories not only in Chandigarh, Mohali and Panchkula, but also neighbouring cities. We have got calls from principals of many reputed schools asking for Montessori trained teachers from our institute. Our course will give a competitive edge to all our students as we are also helping them to be net savvy and computer literate in MS Word, Power Point and Excel. After passing out, our students will be absorbed by the best schools in this region as well as the rest of India and abroad”, says Mrs. Sanjit Kaur of Modern Montessori International, Chandigarh.
BAC is a non-profit organisation established in 1984 to act as the national accrediting body for independent further and higher education. It is independent both of government and of the colleges with which it accredits.
A college which is accredited by BAC undergoes a thorough inspection every five years, with an interim visit after two-three years.
BAC's Council includes nominees of a number of the major bodies concerned with the maintenance of standards in British education, including the Association of Colleges, the British Council, the Council of Validating Universities, Universities UK, the Chartered Institutes, the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education and UKCOSA.

| The MMI Group and the Jaipuria Group have ventured into a Montessori pre-school centre in India . The Jaipuria Group headed by Chairman Ravi Jaipuria, holds the sole franchise for Pepsi Cola and Pizza Hut Restaurants in North India and Nepal. MMI India has its own four-storey facility in Gurgaon, Delhi, with a capacity to house 500 children. It also conducts courses leading to the Diploma in Montessori Method of Education. |
